Subsidiarity and proportionality

Definition

The subsidiarity principle encourages decision-making as close as possible to the citizen. In other words, decisions taken for local communities should be made on the basis of a proposal and with the involvement of local authorities or their associations and associations, social partners and communities with strong local action and civil society in general.
