Following the recent and wide-ranging legislative regulation of Law 4957\/2022, this Part of the Law further improves the operation of HEIs in Greece through: a) the practical strengthening of self-governance through the provisions to facilitate the procedure for the appointment and operation of their governing bodies; b) the strengthening of their financial and administrative autonomy, including by upgrading the role of the Special Account for Research Funds (ELKE); c) the extroversion of HEIs by financing joint second-cycle study programmes and enabling third-country students to attend foreign-language study programmes for short periods of study; d) the simplification and flexibility of the functioning of the governing bodies in the exercise of their responsibilities; e) the promotion of the digital transformation of HEI procedures; and finally f) the more effective utilization of their property through the compulsory registration of their movable and immovable property.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
