Article 18(2) of the fifth Article of Law 3607\/2007 (Government Gazette, Series I, No 245) on the Managing Director and his responsibilities is amended as follows: (a) in point (b) the third and fourth subparagraphs are deleted; (b) in point (g) the words \u2018which require a quick call for tenders as in force from time to time under the provisions on public procurement\u2019 are replaced by the words \u2018up to the relevant limits of direct award\u2019; (c) in point (j) the word \u2018with\u2019 is added and Article 18, following legislative improvements, is worded as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Managing Director \u2013 Responsibilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEO is a management body of the Company, heads the staff and all services of the Company, directs their work, takes the necessary decisions within the framework of the provisions governing the operation of the Company, its approved action plans and this Statute and has the following specific responsibilities and those others assigned to him each time by the Board of Directors or provided for by the applicable provisions:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    a) Ensures the execution of the object of the Company's work and all kinds of projects and actions, in order to achieve the Company's objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    b) Decides on the internal organization of the Company within the framework of its approved operating regulations. Plans the action of the Company to implement its programs and objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    c) Decide on the Company's personnel matters, in accordance with the provisions of the Internal Organization and Operation Regulation of the Company, the contractual obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    d) Takes all necessary measures for the upgrading and utilization of staff, proposing to the Board of Directors of the Company for approval the preparation of the necessary, at its discretion, new staff regulations, organizational charts, training programs and training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    e) Introduces and recommends all kinds of action plans to the Board of Directors for approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    f) Introduces and recommends to the Board of Directors all matters within the competence of the Board of Directors. It is also entitled to introduce and recommend to the Board of Directors for approval and any other matter, at its discretion, even if it falls within its own competence, it ensures the implementation of the decisions of the Board of Directors and informs it accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    g) Approves supplies of goods and services for amounts up to the respective limits of direct award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    h) Cares and decides on the payment of any kind of debts of the Company, the payroll and generally any expenses of the Company, as well as on the collection of any kind of income and claims of the Company in general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    i) Decides on the opening, closure and movement of bank accounts in any credit institution, approves and acts deposits, withdrawals, payments, money transfers, remittances, signs the orders for payment of expenses and takes any relevant action to complete any deposit, withdrawal or payment procedures, and may give the special order and power of attorney also to employees of the Company for the action of withdrawals or payments and any other related act, specifying the relevant limits of these authorizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    j) It is allowed to delegate to Heads of Unit the right to sign \"By order of the Managing Director\", for specific operations. The Managing Director may exercise his\/her delegated powers in parallel. It is also permitted for the CEO to authorize employees of the Company or third parties and to provide them with the mandate and power of attorney for the action of specific acts and actions, while determining the extent of these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
