Article 1: Purpose and mission of the Multilateral Forum

The Multilateral Open Government Forum is an institutionalised space for dialogue and cooperation between government and civil society to promote transparency, accountability and inclusiveness in public administration.

In the context of Greece’s participation in the Open Government Partnership (OGP), the Forum is the central mechanism for the co-creation, implementation and monitoring of the National Action Plans for Open Government.

The main objectives of the Forum are:

(a) Co-creation of commitments: co-designing actions and commitments on open governance.

(b) Extended participation: the representation of different views from across society.

(c) The ongoing dialogue: regular communication and exchange of ideas between governmental-public organisations and interested organisations from all non-profit bodies.

(d) Accountability: monitoring progress and evaluating results.
